1. Agreement to these terms

By downloading, installing, or using the AmberFox desktop application or visiting amberfox.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use AmberFox. The service is operated by AmberFox — contact us at [email protected].

2. What AmberFox provides

AmberFox is a desktop AI interview assistant for macOS and Windows. It provides three core features:

• Live interview assistant — listens to your interview audio in real time and surfaces short bullet answer cues in a screen-share-hidden overlay.
• AI mock interviews — a fully voiced AI interviewer conducts a practice session and delivers scored feedback on your performance.
• CV optimizer — rewrites your CV to match a specific job description and generates a tailored cover letter, both exportable as PDF.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice of any material changes that affect paid functionality.

3. Accounts

Access to AmberFox requires signing in with a Google account via Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact [email protected] immediately.

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a free trial that includes one AI mock interview and one CV optimization. No credit card is required to start the trial. Trial sessions for the live interview assistant are capped at 5 minutes. Once trial allowances are used, a paid subscription is required to continue.

5. Subscriptions and billing

AmberFox offers paid subscription plans billed monthly or quarterly through Stripe. Current plan details and pricing are shown on the pricing section of our website.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
• You can cancel at any time in one click from within the app. Your access continues until the end of the paid period you have already paid for.
• We do not issue partial-period refunds by default. If you believe you are owed a refund due to a billing error or an exceptional circumstance, contact [email protected] and we will review your case.
• Prices may change. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a price increase takes effect for existing subscribers.

6. Acceptable use

AmberFox is licensed for personal, lawful use only. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the AmberFox application or its underlying APIs
• Abuse or circumvent AI usage quotas (e.g. automated scripting to exceed limits)
• Use AmberFox in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Share your account credentials with others

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of AmberFox complies with any interview policies, employer rules, non-disclosure agreements, or applicable laws that govern the interview process you are participating in. AmberFox does not take responsibility for how you use the assistance provided.

7. AI-generated content — important disclaimer

AmberFox uses large language models (Claude by Anthropic) to generate answer cues, practice questions, feedback, and CV rewrites. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong. You must exercise your own judgement before relying on any AI-generated suggestion.

AmberFox does not guarantee any interview outcome or employment result. The candidate is solely responsible for what they say in an interview and for how they use the assistance provided by AmberFox. Using AmberFox does not constitute a guarantee that any AI-generated suggestion is accurate, suitable, or consistent with your actual skills and experience.

8. Intellectual property

AmberFox owns the desktop application, website, branding, and all proprietary technology behind the service. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.

You own your content — your CV, job descriptions, and interview transcripts. By providing this content to AmberFox, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it to train AI models.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, AmberFox's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to your use of the service will not exceed the total fees you paid to AmberFox in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.

AmberFox is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or missed employment opportunities, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using AmberFox and cancel your subscription at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account for a breach, no refund will be issued for the remaining subscription period.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will notify you by email where possible. Continued use of AmberFox after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
